I'm originally from Germany, and I've been practising yoga for around fifteen years, teaching for more than ten. My journey began as a university student in India, where I first encountered the practice that would shape my life.
I have had the fortune to study under remarkable teachers: Dr. Nitin Unkule in Pune, Yogacharya Vinay Kumar in Mysore, and Shree BNS Iyengar in Mysore, a direct disciple of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. My Ashtanga vinyasa and pranayama practice was deepened by Badarinarayana "Badri" Iyengar.
My teaching has taken me across seven countries, and through it all I have remained a student first. At home, I am a father of two daughters, and the values of patience, presence and care I practise on the mat are the same ones I try to live by.
NMiavrrvaimn is Marvin, spelled backwards — the inward turn the practice asks of us.
